HINTON's seminal novel and FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA's iconic film, this thrilling new musical features a book by ADAM RAPP with JUSTIN LEVINE, music and lyrics by JAMESTOWN REVIVAL (Jonathan Clay & Zach Chance) & Tony Award® winner JUSTIN LEVINE, music supervision, orchestration, & arrangements by JUSTIN LEVINE, choreography by RICK KUPERMAN & JEFF KUPERMAN, & direction by Tony Award® winner DANYA TAYMOR. In Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1967, Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade and their Greaser family of 'outsiders' battle with their affluent rivals, the Socs. THE OUTSIDERS navigates the complexities of self-discovery as the Greasers dream about who they want to become in a world that may never accept them. With a dynamic original score, THE OUTSIDERS is a story of friendship, family, belonging..and the realization that there is still "lots of good in the world." The Outsiders is recommended for ages 10 & up. Please note that all guests, regardless of age, require a ticket. Children under the age of 5 are not allowed at this performance. Run Time: 2hrs30min, inc intermission. All Balcony seats require stairs. Warnings: Strobe/flashing lights, loud noises, theatrical haze/smoking on stage. Please note, there is a rain effect on stage. Drops of water and small rubber pieces from the stage floor may land in the front of the orchestra section. All tickets will be delivered via mobile, & will be made available approx. 2 wks after the public on sale. Any orders above the ticket limit will be canceled. The Civic Theatre is a cashless venue. This applies to all ticket sales, food & beverage purchases, & binocular rentals. No Cameras or Recording allowed.
