Boy and the World (2013)

A young boy leaves his rural home in search of his father, traveling through a rapidly changing Brazil seen entirely through a childs eyes. Director Al Abreu developed the film with colored pencil, crayon, collage, and paint rather than pursuing traditional visual realism. The style and reduced dialogue capture the nostalgia and disillusionment of youth in a uniquely intimate story.
