Theodore Roosevelt Impersonator Kurt Skinner | Wind Cave
📍Wind Cave National Park
Hot Springs
<pColorado-based historian Kurt Skinner brings the country's 26th president to life in a one-evening performance at the Elk Mountain Campground Amphitheater in Wind Cave National Park. A retired military officer-turned high school history teacher, Skinner is a lifelong student of Roosevelt's legacy and has performed as the president at national parks and historic sites across the country.</p
<pIn his portrayals, Skinner aims to honor and faithfully represent the man he admires, engaging audiences of all ages with humor, history and storytelling. His goal: to remind us, in Roosevelt's own words, what has always been great about America.</p
<pAlthough Roosevelt never visited Wind Cave, he signed the legislation creating the park on January 9, 1903.</p
<pFree and open to all. The program begins at 7 p.m. at the Elk Mountain Campground Amphitheater. Sponsored by the Friends of Wind Cave National Park. For more information, visit www.nps.gov/wica or contact the park at (605) 745-4600.</p
