Doors open at 6 p.m. Audiences can arrive early to enjoy a performance by the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band on the Plaza, the 6:30 p.m. Pre-Concert Talk with Eckart Preu, and The 3rd Space, a welcoming spot in the lobby to grab a drink, meet new people and connect with fellow music lovers. The Marine Band will also join the orchestra onstage for a special performance of The Star-Spangled Banner. Grammy Award-winning cellist Zuill Bailey joins Music Director Eckart Preu for the Southern California premiere of Visions of Humanity and Unity?a remarkable new five-movement cello concerto created by five composers, each inspired by a phrase from the Declaration of Independence.
